[ 5 6] The classic triad of Wernicke includes oculomotor abnormalities, cerebellar dysfunction, and confusion. WebICU were Vitamin B12 deficient and advised testing levels in all patients with a prolonged stay in the ICU15. The prevalence of Vitamin B12 deficiency is higher in patients over 65 years of age, up to 15%16,17. As the average age of patients admitted to ICU is increasing, we can expect to see more patients in the ICU with the deficiency.
